Assistant Director of Staffing and Performance Management
Community Options Inc. (COI) is seeking an Assistant Director of Staffing and Performance Management to help lead our residential services team. This leadership role supports the Director of Residential Services in maintaining operational excellence by optimizing staffing overseeing program performance ensuring regulatory compliance and developing staff.

Key Responsibilities
Scheduling & Staffing Oversight
Maintain and manage master staff schedules using COIs scheduling software.
Release rolling four-week schedules and ensure proper staffing coverage.
Monitor and minimize overtime in coordination with Program Supervisors.
Assign DSP Float Team to cover vacant shifts as a priority.
Serve as a primary point of contact for scheduling conflicts.
Program & Facility Monitoring
Conduct regular unannounced visits to group homes and PCA settings.
Ensure adequate staffing safety and client care during visits.
Provide on-site staff training and submit work orders as needed.
Assist with monthly program monitoring and submit timely reports.
Coordinate and ensure execution of monthly fire and mock drills.
Performance Management & Support
Support Program Supervisors in holding monthly team meetings and safety reviews.
Attend meetings as needed to provide training or review new policies and forms.
Meet regularly with the Director of Residential Services to address concerns and review goals.
Participate in employee interviews and hiring decisions.
Conduct 30-day check-ins with new hires and follow up with appropriate support and documentation.
Policy Implementation & Compliance
Ensure all residential policies and procedures are current and distributed.
Remove outdated materials and maintain accessible form folders in each home.
Support training and reinforcement of policies with Program Supervisors.
Evaluations & Staff Development
Oversee annual evaluations for Program Supervisors.
Ensure Program Supervisors complete required staff evaluations and competencies.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Human Services Public Administration Health Care Management or a related field or equivalent experience.
35 years of experience in scheduling operations or performance management ideally in healthcare or disability services.
Supervisory or management experience preferred.
CPR/First Aid Certification (required or obtainable within 90 days).
QMAP (Qualified Medication Administration Person) Certification.
Valid Colorado drivers license with acceptable driving record.
Acceptable criminal background check.
Proficiency with scheduling/management software and data reporting tools.
Excellent communication organizational and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards.
Ability to lead by example and collaborate across teams.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises Program Supervisors and DSP Float Team Staff.
Work Environment
Combination of office-based work and regular engagement in residential settings.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and assist in emergency situations.
