Job Description

The Director of Financial Systems role is an exciting and highly visible opportunity for an exceptional strategic and progressive leader to help define lead transform and manage FBINs Financial Systems Program. The Director will lead and manage a team to support complex processes and solutions in partnership with Finance and Technology. The individual will identify prioritize and implement strategic and complex Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) initiatives while simultaneously driving modernization and optimization of the EPM platform including operational analytical Agile methodologies and digital processes and tools. The Director is a leader who will build relationships with key business and technology stakeholders across the enterprise demonstrating ownership of outcomes in a highly collaborative manner with effective stakeholder communication management.

The Director of Financial Systems utilizes a broad range of technical and functional knowledge and delivers solutions across multiple projects as well as employs consultative technical and functional leadership across the organization from strategic decision making to project planning to governance and oversight. This position will work closely with others to advise collaborate and share insights and knowledge with business and technology teams via productive meetings documentation and formal presentations.

Position location: Deerfield IL Hybrid (On-site Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday) 

RESPONSIBLIITIES:

What you will be doing

  • Oversee FBINs Oracle EPM program processes and team with a focus on applying analytical and problem-solving skills to translate business capabilities and requirements into specific application information and technology solutions delivering value to the business
  • Work closely with Finance leaders to develop overall future state roadmap for transformative finance and EPM related initiatives that are aligned with overall strategic initiatives and financial objectives
  • Provide direct oversight for the management and prioritization of EPM enhancements
  • Anticipate and manage the risks associated with finance systems and processes.  Ensure ongoing operational stability of the current applications and systems
  • Keep apprised of new and innovative finance solutions
  • Direct the Financial Systems team to advance defined objectives in alignment with roadmap and vision
  • Support any necessary acquisition integration efforts by assisting with/enhancing playbook activities and repeatable processes for efficient and timely integration of financial data
  • Foster continuous improvement mindset to drive change improve access to critical information and enhance decision support capabilities across Finance
  • Strengthen and maintain controls and documentation over financial systems

Qualifications :

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree required. Masters degree a plus
  • 10 years of effectively leading large complex programs with significant change impact across organizations preferably in Finance
  • 10 years working in a senior level leadership capacity; mix of corporate and consulting experience is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle EPM
  • Oracle EPM implementation experience required
  • Ability to think strategically develop forward thinking and growth-oriented business solutions
  • Deep experience with the design and implementation of technology/tools which enable financial processes
  • Experience leading managing and mentoring colleagues/teams in the delivery and support of financial processes and systems
  • Strong change management and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to drive programs independently
  • Expert knowledge of financial and strategic planning processes


Additional Information :

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $140000 USD - $220000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range or be above or below the range based on factors including but not limited to education training experience professional achievement business need and location. In addition to base salary employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance or a role-based sales incentive plan.
