The IT OPS Engineer is primarily responsible for production throughout the project lifecycle. They are one of the main actors in ensuring production requirements are met and contribute to defining technical solutions while overseeing their implementation within APS. They guarantee the stability of both non-production and production environments. Their activities align with Agile and DevOps methodologies ensuring the implementation of technical user stories and the management of the project backlog.
Responsibilities:
Participation in Cloud Migration for Applications:
- Execute migrations for external Windows software (e.g. SAS Qlik BO) and .Net applications to cloud in collaboration with the Infra Paris team managing the cloud solution
- Contribute to defining migration standards for cloud
Defining Technical Solutions:
- Promote the use of existing services to reduce costs and implementation times integrating APS requirements into the project backlog
- Encourage reusable solutions if a new solution needs to be developed
- Anticipate issues related to compliance architectural standards and cybersecurity for the chosen solutions
Implementation of Technical Solutions:
- Collaborating with APS stakeholders
- Set up appropriate logging monitoring and alerting for solutions put in production alongside the SRE team
- Ensure the availability of production resources (environments monitoring performance) and infrastructure are ready to facilitate solution deployment
- Acquire necessary application knowledge to identify issues (flows security network) and propose action plans
- Provision all infrastructure platforms data flows databases middleware certificates and network connections required
- Conduct technical tests (performance recovery) before production deployment.
- Ensure documentation is in place before production deployment
- Track and manage activities in the project backlog
- Establish ICPlans/DRPs with application managers
- Manage changes/problems within the application scope
Continuous Improvement:
- Demonstrate initiative and propose process improvements
- Promote and share best practices
- Analytical skills to resolve production incidents effectively (legacy and cloud environments)
Qualifications :
- Familiarity with operating systems (RHEL Windows) application servers (Apache/Tomcat
- Familiarity with operating systems (RHEL Windows) application servers (Apache/Tomcat WebSphere JBoss) and technical components (CFT MQ Series Oracle PostgreSQL Microfocus F5)
- Knowledge of industrialization/automation tools including scheduling (Autosys) and application configuration/deployment tools (Jenkins Git Ansible Tower)
- IBM Cloud ecosystem (e.g. bronze certification)
- Experience in Java development and framework knowledge is a plus
- Expertise in deploying Windows software (e.g. SAS BO Qlik)
- Expertise in cloud application deployment
- Experience in defining a complete technical solution architecture
- Expertise in application migration to new infrastructure and cloud solutions
- Expertise in analyzing technical incidents (Java logs DB/middleware connection issues firewall access problems)
- Expertise in performance issue analysis
- Full proficiency in French
- Good technical English (able to understand and interact in mission-related conversations)
