About the opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting across our group Financial Reporting team supports strategic decision making by maintaining high quality financial data and compliance and we believe in continuous improvement and collaboration to drive financial transparency and operational efficiency.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic international environment where youll have a direct impact on the accuracy and efficiency of our financial reporting. Youll play a key role in monthly closes annual audits and the enhancement of internal controls while identifying opportunities for automation and innovation in our financial processes.
In this role you will:
- Support in the monthly book close ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Support in the preparation of the annual financial statementsand year end audit of the group entities.
- Identify opportunities to automate reporting processes and enhance data workflows
- Maintain and improve internal controls over financial reporting
- Work closely with stakeholders across Finance and other departments to ensure alignment and transparency in financial data
What you need to be successful:
- University degree in Finance Accounting Audit or a related field
- 34 years of experience in Accounting ideally in an international environment or a Big 4 audit firm
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and German GAAP
- Interest in general ledger and sub-ledger systems with a hands-on approach to financial data
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Experience working under tight deadlines in a dynamic agile environment
- Comfortable working cross-functionally and managing external stakeholders
- Fluent in English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word) and Google Workspace
- Knowledge of Workday (Financials) and Power BI is a strong plus
