JOIN OUR TEAM
As a Demand Planner at Westwing you will join a collaborative team of Demand and Supply Planners with your focus on forecasting and analytics. You will be the go-to person for ensuring our forecasting processes are built on clean reliable data and supported by strong analytical tools. You will analyse historical sales data monitor forecast performance and work closely with teams across Marketing Sales and Retail Campaigns to align forecasts with commercial strategies. Your insights will directly influence campaign planning seasonal stock ordering and inventory improving forecast accuracy and overall supply chain performance.This position is permanent and based in Munich.
WHAT YOULL DO
- own the forecasting logic and process for new SKUs and SKUs with limited sales history to ensure timely replenishment
- validate baseline forecasts using historical data trend analysis and statistical models to ensure a solid foundation for demand planning as well as own and improve the technical forecasting logic and processes ensuring data accuracy and reliability
- be responsible for the forecast accuracy KPI over replenishment lead time (MAPE Bias Rolling Forecast Error)
- build and maintain dashboards in Tableau to monitor forecast performance and generate actionable insights
- apply advanced analytics (e.g. outlier detection regression machine learning) to strengthen forecast accuracy
- provide data-driven insights into price elasticity cannibalisation promotions and market trends
YOU COME WITH
- a degree in supply chain business analytics statistics industrial engineering or related fields
- 3-5 years of experience in demand planning or supply chain analytics with a strong technical expertise
- proficiency in SQL and data cleansing/preparation as well as advanced Excel skills
- experience with BI/visualisation tools such as Tableau or PowerBI
- a solid understanding of statistical forecasting techniques and the ability to translate data into clear business insights
