Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) is seeking a Training Development Analyst in our Workforce Planning and Development section. Your expertise in training and development will play an important role in building the capabilities of our workforce and supporting the delivery of essential services to those we serve.
The training development responsibilities are split between two positions this vacancy and a peer that has been in the role for over three years. Reporting to the section manager your responsibilities will include:
To succeed in this role you must have a thorough understanding of adult learning principles instructional design models and training development methodologies. Excellent communication and presentation abilities are essential to deliver impactful training sessions. Proficiency in utilizing various training tools virtual learning platforms and e-learning authoring software is required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are also necessary to identify training needs and develop tailored solutions.
Workforce Planning and Development Section Overview
Workforce Planning and Development (WPD) is responsible for overall organizational structure learning management system administration employee recognition position development selection instrument design & maintenance performance management and training/career development.
Pay Information
Starting salary will be step 1 subject to law or union contract requirements. New hires advance to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter. There are cost of living increases to these rates each year and additional longevity supplements begin after 5 years. The current wage progression for this position is in the table below.

Location Requirements
We are currently in the process of increasing our in-office presence to 5 days per week across all OOD locations. Employees must reside at a location that allows for reasonable response time to workplace reporting requirements.
Daytime travel within Ohio may be required. The selected candidate must provide own transportation or in order to operate a state vehicle must have a valid drivers license.
