Job Description:

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Regional Power Program Coordinator for the North America region including the United States Canada and Mexico. In this role you will report to a Global Power Program Manager and contribute to the Global Power Graduate Program our flagship early career development program by being responsible for regional program coordination of Power new graduates hired in countries of your scope in North America. As a program coordinator for Power new graduates youll be responsible for ongoing oversight on managing participant data in the HR information system (Workday) and coaching support to participants and their rotation managers. You will be responsible for delivering a recruitment strategy collaborating with local Talent Acquisition and Employer Branding teams engaging with the business to hire candidates. Additionally you will identify rotational assignment projects and educate business representatives about the program its framework and costs ensuring a smooth liaison between local needs against global requirements. You will participate in a community among Program Coordinators from different countries and regions. You will be responsible for data integrity and reporting for countries of your scope as part of global landscape.

This is an exciting role that will have multiple responsibilities relating to talent management. The Power Program coordination will take up 50% of time (in line with the programs lifecycle which has defined peaks and downs) while the remaining 50% will mix and blend other impactful talent management projects and activities such as delivering assessments in line with the companys strategic needs and direction.

This is an excellent role for you if you are an HR professional excited about using your project management skills with a good understanding of an employee lifecycle within a global company (recruitment onboarding a culture of feedback and performance management pay review and country labor code) and with the capability to easily build strong and long-term relationships with HR Business Partners and business leaders.

How you will make an impact:

Program Coordination:

  • Coordinate the Power program by following and implementing global standards
  • Cooperate with the business on hiring candidates and identifying rotational assignment projects for new participants
  • Educate business representatives on the program its framework and costs
  • Co-create the programs brand on a country and regional level (networking and ambassadorship: scaling capabilities against country specifics)
  • Maintain efficient budget management associated with travel international assignments for participants and engagement initiatives
  • Participate in a community of Program Coordinators from different global regions
  • Responsible for local data integrity and reporting as part of global landscape.
  • Oversee and manage new graduate data integration in the HR system enabling a system where the rotational manager primarily oversees the new graduates day-to-day work and objectives.
  • Deliver a recruitment strategy with support from local Talent Acquisition and Employer Branding teams
  • responsible for ongoing program coordination and coaching support to participants and rotational managers which requires:
    • Hiring and selection

    • Introduction to the company country specifics and program

    • Introduction to a culture of feedback for performance management and other employee lifecycle related processes (good knowledge of local labor code and regulations)

    Your background:

    • Higher education (Bachelors degree or higher).
    • Excellent English both written and verbal. French or Spanish is an asset.
    • 3-5 years of experience in HR Program Management with preferred Talent Management background.
    • Experience working in a complex environment and managing multiple stakeholders in different business areas.
    • Excellent project management skills with ability to hold partners accountable across the globe and drive toward results by deadline.
    • Ability to think global and act local while translating ideas into tangible results.
    • Strong commitment to and passion for incorporating collaboration and stakeholder management in all you do as a professional.
    • Excellent interpersonal coaching influencing and communication skills.
    • And a strong desire to bring your passion and energy to advancing a sustainable energy future for all.
