The NA Amazon Books Supply Chain and Operations team is looking for a customer-focused driven and analytical Instock manager. In this position youll have the opportunity to engage with projects that encompass every facet of the supply chain. This position is responsible for the development and execution of In-Stock strategies for Books Canada aimed at enhancing vendor operational performance. This role drives long-term strategies for the Canadian marketplace while overseeing multiple projects including the North American Fulfillment Network (NAFN) strategy Carton Quantity Ordering the Heritage Law Project the Direct Fulfillment roadmap as well as emerging new projects based on the business needs. This role provides the opportunity to work with global teams and ability to influence cross-marketplace initiatives. The InStock Manager Canada Operational Initiatives will own the definition of a roadmap that aims to drive supply chain efficiencies through the lens of delighting our customers by optimizing books availability and reduce defects to improve customer experience while reducing cost-to serve. The ideal candidate is able to lead and influence both internal and external teams in an ambiguous environment while driving high standards and earning trust.
Areas of projects ownership in Canada: Buying and Forecasting. Inventory Availability metrics (Fast Track Instock SoROOS) and publishers order confirmation rate (ACR). Inventory Productivity - Overstock management optimal inventory health disposition/removals methods. Promise Chargebacks and Efficient Receive.
Key job responsibilities Defined independently and in collaboration with the team key operational initiatives. Build technical expertise in supply chain optimization systems. Work liaise and influence internal external and partner stakeholders. Leverage data to make recommendations and decisions in order to improve operational metrics.

This team is responsible for US and Canada InStock Management and Services Bulk Books Operations and central Supply Chain and Product Management teams focus on Vendor Operational Excellence Buying Forecasting Inventory Availability Inventory Productivity Inbound Optimization Chargebacks Promise and Post Delivery Experience. - 3 years of with Excel experience - 4 years of supply chain inventory management or project management experience - Bachelors degree or 3 years of professional or military experience
- Knowledge of the principles of statistical inventory control - Experience with process improvement techniques such as Kaizen Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma
