DOT is seeking a Community Coordinator to serve as the Design and Marketplace Program Manager within the Outdoor Dining unit. NYC launched an emergency outdoor dining program in 2020 in an effort to implement a citywide multi-phase program to expand outdoor seating options for food establishments to promote open space enhance social distancing and help them rebound during the pandemic and post-pandemic recovery. The City has been working since then to turn the emergency program into a permanent program and last year DOT launched Dining Out NYC the Citys new permanent outdoor dining program. Under the supervision of the Billing Supervisor of Outdoor Dining the Billing Coordinator will: perform outreach and billing resolutions to restaurant owners; assist with outreach to the public regarding the program; prepare all billing invoices and reports in regards to outdoor dining set ups; maintain accurate financial and insurance records; track and follow up on unpaid invoices; log and deposit checks received; prepare periodic revenue reports; update new and renewal agreements in database; create ad-hoc reports as required; perform related duties.

Qualifications :
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to 1 or 2 above. However all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in 1 above.
