You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailOperating in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne this modern contract-testing laboratory is seeking a full time Laboratory Technician with a Wet Chemistry background for an immediate start.
Accredited with the TGA and APVMA the high-tech facilities encompass a broad range of analytical equipment primarily used in the Pharmaceutical Veterinary and Bioanalytical sectors.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated with a positive attitude willingness to learn on the job in a fast-paced friendly environment with a dedicated team of like-minded professionals. Advancement opportunities may exist for the right candidate.
Candidates will be expected to keep the laboratory well stocked with consumables and maintain the Kanban system and to prepare common reagents and buffers as well as perform TOC Nitrates Conductivity and Karl Fisher testing on pharmaceutical samples. Candidates should also possess the ability to perform basic routine pharmacopeial testing (USP BP/EP) on both raw materials and finished products. The position relies heavily on current or developed expertise in analytical chemistry with sound analytical techniques and attention to detail. Experience in techniques such as pH Karl Fisher UV-Vis FTIR Polarimetry Melting Point are also advantageous.
Qualifications :
At a minimum a diploma in Chemistry Analytical Science or a related discipline is essential as well as at least 1-3 years experience working within a TGA Licensed Laboratory. High performing graduates also encouraged to apply.
Imperative to the successful operations of this highly respected testing facility is a strict understanding and adherence to the cGMP quality system consideration of time-sensitive workloads and the accurate and thorough recording of all results activities and deviations encountered during the varying stages of analysis.
