Job Description
Job Summary
The Transportation Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the fleet at our Bakery Feeds facility in Butler KY.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities

- Supervision of the Fleet Mechanic in relation to daily operations of the fleet.
- Responsible for transportation of raw materials; schedules all outgoing finished product and the transportation of such.
- Responsible for all routes and routing process; makes changes as necessary to ensure route efficiency; schedules all drivers ensuring compliance with DOT regulations.
- Sets schedules and start times for raw materials transfer drivers to ensure a constant flow of material to the plant.
- Responsible for maintaining current accounts and enlisting new accounts in designated area.
- Provides prompt efficient quality service to all customers in area.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in routing processes; supervision of route drivers.
- Prior route delivery experience a must.
Preferred Qualifications
- Communicates clearly in verbal and written form.
- Highly organized; superior time management skills.
- Ability to maintain composure in difficult situations; adaptable to changing situations.
- Leadership ability; able to direct and supervise others.
- Computer skills a must.
Physical Demands
- Frequently required to walk stand sit climb balance stoop bend and kneel.
- Frequently must push pull move or lift up to 100 lbs.
- Regularly required reach with hands and arms.
Work Environment
Job functions will be carried out at a plant location customer locations and in company vehicle.
