We are looking for a Database Coordinator to maintain and manage our central clients donor database using Salesforce including all aspects of donor information research queries and production of reports. This position will be Full-Time and Onsite in Evanston IL. This is a 6-month contract potentially to hire. Core business hours are 8:30am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday.
Due to the specific legal and contractual requirements associated with this position only US Citizens and Green Card Holders/Permanent residents will be considered for this role. Candidates must be able to work directly on CAIs W2.
What Youll Do
Maintain and manage central donor database using Salesforce
Plan manage and implement processes to accept receive and acknowledge gifts/donations
Coordinate pledge fulfillment implementation as a liaison between departments
Plan and manage donor recognition programs to increase awareness and support corporate goals
Coordinate with leadership teams to implement and maintain Gift Acceptance Policies
Maintain accurate records regarding all acknowledgment and recognition programs
Create send and track acknowledgment/thank you letters and pledge reminders
Create and distribute summary pledge reports on a monthly basis
Track and improve donor communications in collaboration with management
Coordinate management of Salesforce database including events and recognitions
Ensure major donors are included in events and recognized appropriately
Collaborate with vendors and internal staff as needed
Implement policies and procedures related to donor data management
Coordinate assignment of prospective donors to staff and volunteers
Inform leadership of milestones and information regarding major donors
Engage in prospect research activities
Collaborate with IT on database security and system updates
Enhance prospecting efforts with other departments
Recommend and implement procedural improvements
Perform general administrative duties including data input and correspondence
Various other duties as assigned
What Youll Need
Required:
Bachelors degree in Marketing Communications or a similar discipline
Strong database experience with custom reports and accurate data
Record of success in prospect research for major gift efforts
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong project management and organizational skills
Familiarity with philanthropic and fundraising best practices
Collaborative team player
Preferred:
Advanced degrees/certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) Salesforce Administrator etc.
Experience with CRM software preferably Salesforce or similar
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal state and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer utilizing a mouse keyboard and monitor
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00 per hour (USD). Exact compensation may vary based on several factors including location experience and education. Benefit packages for this role includes medical dental and vision insurance as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave as provided by applicable law.
