Job Description

Vita Inclinata is looking for an experienced Service Manager to lead our field service team providing aftermarket services for our VLN and VRS product lines globally. As the Service Manager you play a critical role in ensuring timely smooth and efficient on-site service operations related to industrial equipment and machinery. You are responsible for overseeing a team of engineers and technicians who perform tasks such as installation maintenance troubleshooting and repair of rental and customer-owned assets at customer sites and at Vita production sites.


The Service Manager oversees a service team enacting supporting and enforcing safety quality process improvements customer service and business goals. Provides training and coaching of the employees within the department and other duties as assigned. This position is responsible for working with customers and other leaders in the business to achieve and maintain goals and deadlines.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Leading training developing mentoring and managing a team of field service technicians to enhance their technical expertise and customer service skills.
  • Scheduling technician assignments based on workload skillset and availability.
  • Overseeing day-to-day field operations including service ticket management and dispatching.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers while serving as the primary point of contact for service-related customer inquiries complaints and issues and negotiating service contracts and addressing customer concerns promptly.
  • Providing guidance and support to technicians especially when they encounter complex issues.
  • Ensuring high-quality service delivery and high standards of workmanship.
  • Maintaining inventory levels of parts equipment and tools to ensure availability for field repairs while managing field service budgets and aiming to control costs.
  • Tracking team performance and providing feedback.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards regulations and safety protocols.
  • Developing and implementing safety procedures to protect employees and equipment.
  • Partnering with Vita Sales and Account managers to ensure clear effective communication channels with customers.
  • Partnering with Vita Engineering Supply Chain and Production Teams to ensure the Service team has the latest product information best practices processes and tools needed to meet customer service needs.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises all levels of Service Engineers and Technicians. Carries out Supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing selecting hiring and training employees; planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • A bachelors degree in a relevant field like operations management industrial engineering or a related area is required.
  • 3 years of leadership experience in field service operations or a related field is essential.
  • 3 years of experience dealing with customer complaints handling issues and problem solving at the customer locations.
  • Hands-on experience with Vitas VRS and VLN equipment and systems.
  • Experience managing an operational budget and resources.
  • Experience managing service ticketing systems spare parts inventory and equipment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of production processes quality control 5S and safety standards is essential.
  • Experience managing within OSHA/NIOSH safety regulations. OSHA certifications preferred.

  • Manages resources efforts and timelines involved for projects
  • The ability to quickly assess situations identify root causes and develop solutions is vital.
  • A strong understanding of the technical aspects of the equipment or systems being serviced is necessary.
  • Strong interpersonal skills an ability to collaborate at all levels and effective communication both verbal and written are crucial for conveying technical information and solving problems.
  • Excellent organizational skills detail oriented ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

Computer Skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite including Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook

Compensation

In compliance with Colorados Equal Pay for Equal Work Act the compensation for this role is $70000 - $85000; however Vita Inclinata Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience education/training and key skills.
