Any exciting opportunity has become available in the Family Safeguarding Team in West Lancashire Skelmersdale.
We are looking for a Child and family practitioner.
The role will entail working directly withfamilies and assisting the social workers by undertaking pieces of bespoke work with children parents carers and the wider family Supporting parents/carers to become better equipped to meet the demands of parenting so families can stay together safely.
We do this through:
- Motivational interviewingWe usestrengths-based conversational approachtosupportfamiliesto identify strengthsandneedsandto chooseto makechange.
- Multi-disciplinary teamsWe are ateam of specialists working together tosupport families and parentswithparenting skills drug and alcohol use domestic abuse and mental health needs.
- The family safeguarding workbook and family programmeWe work through anassessmentwithfamilies totailorsupportto meet their spend more time with children and parents getting to know them and understandingtheir needsand how we can support.
- Group case supervisionWe holdmonthly supervision for eachfamilywith input from every professional working with the familytomake surethat we are providing the right support
