First Response Childrens Duty are recruiting to an Interim Assistant Service Manager to cover a 12 month Secondment/Fixed term
About the Role

If the answer is Yes then consider this :- Assistant Service Manager in First Response!
The Assistant Service Manager role is a varied role and every day is different. You will predominantly have oversight and manage the Screening Team where there are Team Managers Senior Practitioners Social Workers and Support Workers.
You will have understanding of complex front door systems and work closely alongside Business Support and the Transformation Unit leading on development work and implementation of work already started as part of our continuous improvement and refinement over the last 2-3 years. In practice every day involves making decisions in respect of thresholds in response to the stream of contacts that we get daily.
You will also assist the Service Manager with the wider service which includes the Assessment Team.
The environment is very fast-paced and hands on. You will have experience of managing delivery of statutory Child protection processes overseeing the application of threshold and being accountable for high-risk decision making.
You work closely with partner agencies continuing to build relationships so that collaboration supports positive change and ways of working.
We are looking for a passionate and creative person who has significant frontline social work management experience (qualified social worker) understands the importance of team development managing people to support strong teams and leading a clear vision to ensure our workforce can deliver the very best service to our children and families.
An enhanced DBS check is required for this post.
