The Commercial Analyst role sits within the Commercial team at WiseEnergy. It is a broad commercial role focusing on the management of revenues regulatory and contractual issues for a portfolio of assets in Chile in which a commercial or contractual background with strong knowledge of PPA and revenue management within renewables would be highly advantageous.
It is a permanent full-time role starting as soon as possible and reporting to the Commercial Manager. The successful candidate will be either home based or under a flexible working arrangement from our Madrid/Seville offices.
The role will be focused on managing assets in our Chilean markets however will also support the wider WiseEnergy portfolio of assets in other countries.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Managing the monthly revenue accruals process and investigating discrepancies where relevant.
In coordination with the Finance team preparation of project revenue budgets and forecasts as well as support the development of asset operating budgets.
Managing the regulatory interface and compliance requirements alongside our advisors e.g. data submissions for project companies under management.
Responsible for budget follow-up and management coordinating with the companys finance team the validation of costs and revenues.
Maintaining solar plant compliance with contractual requirements including drafting and issuing formal notices/communications and if required investigating non-compliance and resolution.
Managing project company contract renewals and tendering.
Managing insurance renewals and claims.
Managing property agreements e.g. land leases and relationships with landowners.
Supporting Environmental and Social Governance (ESG) compliance and delivery.
Supporting the companys in-house onboarding process for new sites with a specific focus on understanding contracts and working internally with WiseEnergys Finance and Technical teams to:
ensure a seamless transition into WiseEnergy; extraction of relevant information into the companys bespoke contract management software; supporting the creation of respective Onboarding Report and Operating Plans; and smooth management throughout the life of each respective agreement.
Updating and continued development of the companys in-house Asset Management Platform (AMP) software as required working with Commercial teams in London Milan and Hyderabad as necessary and with the in-house Technology team.
Supporting annual Asset Operating Plans with relevant contract management information and reviews.
Reporting to the client and internally and externally as required.
Approving contractual invoices.
Ad hoc commercial projects.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 2-3 years in a similar level role
Bachelors degree minimum
Regulatory property and contract knowledge and experience
Spanish speaker and fluent in English language skill also advantageous
Advanced standard MS Office suite notably Excel Word PowerPoint etc.
Strong organisational change management and business process skills
