Job Description

Position Type: Permanent
Pay Rate: $24.75/hour
Start Date: July 2025
Job Duties Include:
- Prepare and bake a variety of bread and other baked goods.
- Ensure the consistency taste and presentation of bakery items meets Fairmonts brand standards
- Monitor and maintain stock levels of ingredients communicating needs to the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef
- Follow proper storage procedures and rotation to minimize waste
- Collaborate with the Pastry and Culinary teams on seasonal menus banquet functions and special requests
- Provide training support and performance feedback to junior culinary team members
- Participate in daily briefings and kitchen meetings
- Maintain a clean organized and sanitary work environment in compliance with food safety standards
Qualifications :
- Bakery Red Seal or Journeyperson certificate an asset.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a bakery or pastry role in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment
- Frequent standing walking lifting and carrying up to 25 kg
You may be required to work on holidays weekends overnights and other non-day shifts. Submission of your application to Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise indicates that you are able to meet these requirements as needed.
