Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy & Vision
- Define and own the product roadmap for real-time payments including NPP enhancements overlays and integrations.
- Align product direction with business goals compliance obligations and customer expectations.
- Agile Delivery & Backlog Ownership
- Own and prioritize the product backlog to ensure timely delivery of high-value features.
- Write detailed user stories define acceptance criteria and support the squad through refinement and sprint planning.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise with internal teams including Technology Risk Legal Compliance and Operations.
- Collaborate with external parties such as the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) AusPayNet and NPP Australia to align on standards and initiatives.
- Payments Expertise
- Provide subject matter expertise in payment flows including Direct Entry BPAY RTGS NPP and future overlay services like PayTo.
- Understand the end-to-end architecture of payments infrastructure and drive continuous improvement.
- Risk & Compliance
- Ensure all products are designed and delivered in compliance with regulatory requirements including PCI-DSS AML/CTF and industry-specific standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 5 years of experience in Product Ownership or Product Management in financial services or fintech.
- Strong working knowledge of real-time payments including NPP PayID PayTo and ISO 20022 messaging.
- Experience working in an Agile delivery environment with cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and actionable requirements.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience in system integration APIs and digital banking platforms is highly desirable.
