We are seeking a friendly and customer-focused Guest Services Agent (Hotel Receptionist) to join our team at Novotel Canberra on a full-time basis. As the first point of contact for our guests you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive and memorable experience for all visitors to our establishment. You will:
- Welcome and check-in guests providing a warm and professional greeting
- Handle guest enquiries and requests efficiently and courteously
- Process reservations room assignments and check-outs
- Manage guest accounts and handle payments accurately
- Provide information about hotel services local attractions and events in Canberra
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure guest needs are met promptly
- Resolve guest complaints and issues with empathy and efficiency
- Maintain a clean and organised reception area
- Assist with administrative tasks and reports as required
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures at all times
Qualifications :
- Positive attitude with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Previous experience in customer service
- Ability to learn hotel management software and utilise Accor platforms
- Knowledge of Canberras local attractions and services
- Flexible availability including weekends and public holidays
