Job Description
Job Title: Radiation Therapist
Location: Coos Bay OR
Shift: Varied (80 hours per two-week pay period; shift assigned as needed)
Hours/Day: 8
Pay Rate: $41.00 - $64.00/hour (based on experience)
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a Radiation Therapist I for a full-time permanent position in Coos Bay OR. This role plays a vital part in the care of oncology patients by assisting with treatment planning locating tumors and administering radiation therapy under the supervision of a radiologist and the broader oncologic care team.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer radiation therapy treatments using linear accelerators and electron fields.
- Record and maintain accurate patient medical and treatment information.
- Locate tumors using imaging technologies to ensure precise treatment delivery.
- Assist in developing treatment plans as directed by the radiologist and oncology team.
- Ensure patient safety comfort and education throughout the treatment process.
- Adhere to all protocols and confidentiality regulations.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in clinical radiation oncology practices.
- Capable of operating radiation therapy and office equipment.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Demonstrates independent judgment critical thinking and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with the public.
- Maintains punctual and consistent attendance.
- Comfortable managing changing priorities and working under stress.
- Skilled in computer applications relevant to the position.
