Job Description :
The Department Manager oversees and coordinates the workflowbetweendepartments involved with design planning and constructionand reports schedules and progress touppermanagement.They issuework assignmentsand monitorworkquality.
Responsibilities:
Maintains vigilant oversight of expenses andfinancialsfor budgetingand variances.
Monitorsand measureskey operationalmetrics-thecost ofprojects material labor hours equipment subcontractors etc.
Negotiatescosts within scope of project accountable to ensurebudget is maintained; ensuresmanagement and customers areaware of issues impactingproject completion and/or cost.
Establishesbest practices for project flow and team memberresponsibilities.
Attendsdeployment and other customer meetings.
Attendsindustry functionssuch as association events andconferencesand providesfeedback and information onrelevantinternalteamsand senior management.
Consults with internal teams onnew business opportunitiesasneeded.
Approves time cards.
Approvesvacation requests.
Approvesvehicle needs/requests.
Approvesrequisitions basedon budget.
Prior to bid submission evaluates and makes recommendations onproposed quotes.

Education/ Training:
High School graduate or equivalent required.
Associates orBachelors degree in Business Construction ManagementEngineering or related area strongly preferred.
Computer proficiency with MS Office Suite required.
Knowledge of Smartsheets a plus.
Intermediate knowledge of SharePoint preferred.
Technical Requirements:
6Years of telecommunications experience in EngineeringOperations or Network Development with specific management experience involving large multi-component construction projects.
Valid Drivers License.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Technical or Military Communications training a plus.
Ability to work some weekends and/or nights.
Compensation: $115K-130K
