Job Description

SENIOR EVENT AND EXHIBIT MANAGER
GENERAL SUMMARY
The Senior Event & Exhibit Manager leads strategic and operational aspects of exhibition and sponsorship programs ensuring high-quality delivery strong partner relationships and revenue targets are achieved. This role supervises a team collaborates cross-functionally and serves as a key contact for sponsors requiring advanced project leadership and negotiation skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Lead execution and ongoing improvement of exhibit and sponsor programs aligning with organizational objectives.
  • Manage team members responsible for exhibitor and sponsor relations & fulfillment project delivery and on-site event execution.
  • Work with project team to develop & execute an attendee engagement plan that maximizes activity in the exhibit hall between attendees and sponsors.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with key sponsor and exhibitor accounts identifying upsell and renewal opportunities.
  • Oversee contracting invoicing and deliverables tracking for sponsorship and exhibitor packages.
  • Collaborate with marketing event logistics finance and other departments to ensure seamless project execution and communications.
  • Develop and monitor project plans timelines budgets and risk management strategies.
  • Analyze program performance data generating reports for senior leadership and recommending actionable improvements.
  • Contribute to sponsorship strategy development and propose new offerings to meet evolving market needs.
  • Serve as primary escalation point for complex sponsor and exhibitor issues.
  • Represent the organization at industry events and with strategic partners promoting the mission and value proposition.
  • Support Senior Director and client with developing long-term sponsorship and exhibit growth strategies.
MINIMUM AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
  • CEM designation preferred.
  • 8 10 years of experience in event management sponsorship or related sales/partnership role with at least 3 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Strategic decision-making ability.
  • Strong project and team management skills.
  • Demonstrated success in managing sponsor and exhibitor relationships for large-scale complex events or programs.
  • Expertise in contract negotiation budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in project management software and CRM tools.
  • Ability to travel as required for event execution and site visits.
WORKPLACE LOCATION REQUIREMENTS
Remote or Hybrid (working as a combination of remote and in-office presence) as well as the possibility of being onsite at client and/or event locations.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to travel at least 30%

SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS
Requires flexibility in scheduling such as the ability to work evenings and weekends to meet client event or company needs.

  • Frequently moves inside the office to access file cabinets office machinery etc.
  • Need to adapt and function in various physical settings (for example conference centers indoor and outdoor spaces).
  • Occasionally required to position self in a stooping kneeling or crouching manner.
  • Frequently required to use hands or fingers handle or feel objects tools machinery and computers.
  • Frequently communicates with others and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Frequently computers and other electronic equipment.
  • The noise level in the office work environment is usually low to moderate while the environments may be moderate to noisy.
