The Director of Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of pupil personnel services within the Rockland Public Schools. This includes special education student support services health services and related programs. The Director collaborates closely and develops relationships with school administrators district leaders and families to ensure all students particularly those with disabilities or in need of specialized support receive appropriate and effective services to foster academic success and well-being. Leadership and Management: Provide strategic leadership and direction for the PPS department including supervision and evaluation of staff program development and resource Development and Implementation: Design implement and evaluate programs and services to meet the diverse needs of students including those with disabilities English Language Learners and students at risk of academic : Collaborate effectively with school principals special education coordinators teachers counselors social workers psychologists parents and community agencies to ensure coordinated and integrated student Management: Develop and manage the PPS budget ensuring efficient and effective use of Analysis and Reporting: Collect analyze and interpret data related to student performance program effectiveness and compliance to inform decision-making and program Development: Provide or facilitate professional development opportunities for PPS staff to enhance their knowledge and : Advocate for the needs of students and the PPS department within the school district and the broader community.
