Job Description
As a Remote Application Architecture Specialist you will be responsible for designing guiding and governing the structure and integration of enterprise applications that support business objectives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams engineering product infrastructure and security to ensure that systems are scalable maintainable and aligned with enterprise architecture principles.
This role demands deep technical expertise strong design principles and the ability to translate business goals into robust future-ready architectural solutions. Youll act as a thought leader in application architecture driving innovation while ensuring technical feasibility system security and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design of application architecture for new systems and enhancements to existing platforms ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and business needs
Develop and maintain architectural blueprints diagrams and technical documentation that guide engineering teams
Define architectural patterns (e.g. microservices event-driven serverless) and select appropriate technologies for performance scalability and maintainability
Oversee application lifecycle architecture including modernization of legacy systems and migration to cloud-native or hybrid platforms
Provide architectural guidance during software development life cycle (SDLC) activities including design reviews and code assessments
Ensure compliance with security data governance and regulatory standards in application design
Collaborate with enterprise architects DevOps engineers and solution architects to ensure cohesive end-to-end system integration
Evaluate third-party software and frameworks for compatibility and alignment with architecture strategy
Mentor development teams on architectural best practices and participate in technical leadership initiatives
Stay current with industry trends in cloud computing APIs DevOps low-code platforms and digital transformation technologies
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related field
2 years of experience in software development and application architecture
Strong understanding of architecture patterns (monolithic SOA microservices event-driven) and cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP)
Expertise in modern application stacks such as Java/.NET with REST APIs React/Angular frontends containerization (Docker Kubernetes) and messaging systems (Kafka RabbitMQ)
Experience with architectural modeling tools (e.g. ArchiMate Sparx EA Lucidchart)
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines DevOps practices and infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform Ansible)
Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills in a remote environment
Ability to translate business and technical requirements into architectural solutions
