Summary
The Department of Gerontology at Virginia Commonwealth University is recruiting for a pool of persons for possible part-time adjunct teaching positions. This pool will be utilized on an as-needed basis. Your application will be active for one year. Only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
Responsibilities
- Meet all designated course instruction guidelines.
- Plan course content based on specific knowledge and expertise in gerontology. Topic areas may include but are not limited to: trauma-informed care end-of-life spirituality and aging or financial management.
- Design and develop course content syllabus learning objectives and assignments.
- Facilitate course engagement and student assessment.
Required Qualifications
- Masters degree in gerontology or related field.
- Subject matter expertise in the topic and subject of the course being designed and taught.
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering an environment of professionalism respect and civility with a population of faculty staff and students from various backgrounds and experiences or a commitment to do so as an adjunct faculty member at VCU.
Preferred Qualifications
- Membership in gerontology professional organizations.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is not to be used as part of the application submission or process.
