Job Description
Our non-wovens manufacturing facility located in Statesville NC is currently hiring for Doffer Operators on Night shifts.
Job Responsibilities:
- Must doff package and load material to specifications described on each customer order.
- Conforms to the proper reading and understanding of Wm T Burnett production schedule and ordered pick lists.
- Performs visual inspection of fiber and finished rolls. Removing all processed waste to its designated area.
- Ensure knowledge of tube cores packaging materials and stock areas for each. Learn mechanical/electrical parts of wind-up and their significant purposes.
- Learn mechanical/electrical parts of wind-up and there significant purpose
- Comply with lock-out tag-out procedures.
- Complies with all safety rules and requirements and refers any unresolved safety issues to the Shift Supervisor.
- Ensure great housekeeping and organizational skills of production line. Ensure great communication between team members.
- Read and understand production requirements inventory scanning label ID etc. Strong attention to detail.
- Read work instructions quality and safety procedures etc.
- Work well with others. Good communication is required between team members.
Basic math count add subtract multiply divide fractions. Read and Interpret Tape Measure. Read charts for Process figures and amounts such as proportions percentages area and fractions. Ability to read and interpret charts used for process control.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. S pecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
- Must be able to stand for an extended period of time.
Work Environment
- Work in an environment with moderate noise levels excessive heat and vibrations fumes and airborne particles as well as Exposure to moving mechanical parts.
- Must get along well with co-workers.
