Job Description
The da Vinci Center at Virginia Commonwealth University is accepting applications for a pool of potential adjunct teaching positions for theacademic year.
Should funding become available the Center will contact individuals in the pool whose qualifications align with our instructional needs. This applicant pool will be accessed only if and when a teaching opportunity arises.
This posting will remain active through June 30 that date you will need to reapply to the updated posting if you wish to remain in the adjunct pool.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Teaching responsibilities include instructing undergraduate and/or graduate courses within the VCU da Vinci Centers Undergraduate Certificates Masters in Product Innovation and Human-Centered Design courses.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree with 5 years relevant work experience.
- Experience and knowledge of design thinking principles.
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering an environment of respect professionalism and civility with a population of faculty staff and students from various backgrounds and experiences or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior teaching experience
- A masters or Ph.D. degree
- Experience with design thinking principles and training programs innovation and entrepreneurship-based curriculum development and mentoring and coaching students
