Job Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Nottinghamshire to assist with the appointment of a Band B Social Worker to work in a residential care setting.

We have both regular shifts (30 hours per week) and bank shifts available. Please note that we dont offer sponsorship and the worker should be able to work full time without restrictions. We would need 5 years work references checked out before you start the shifts.

Rate of Pay: 19.48- 26.66 per hour

Summary:

As a Band B Social Worker with Nottinghamshire County Council you will play a vital role in promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children young people adults and families. You will be responsible for undertaking assessments developing care plans and delivering support that ensures positive outcomes and promotes independence.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct timely and comprehensive assessments of individuals and families in line with statutory responsibilities and best practice.
  • Develop implement and review care and support plans tailored to individual needs and in collaboration with other professionals and agencies.
  • Manage a diverse caseload with varying levels of complexity while maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Engage in regular case discussions attend court proceedings where necessary and produce high-quality reports and evidence.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation including the Children Act 1989/2004 Care Act 2014 Mental Capacity Act 2005 and related statutory guidance.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Social Work (or equivalent)

Essentials:

  • Registration with Social Work England
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • Familiarity with multi-agency working and the ability to build effective partnerships.
  • Proven experience in statutory social work preferably in childrens or adults services.
  • Experience in completing assessments and care planning in accordance with relevant legislation.

Please note:

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS
