These practices reflect our mission to provide every student with access to a world-class Overview: Elementary Teacher (Grades 16) Mystic Valley is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Elementary Teacher to join our academic team. This role provides a unique opportunity to teach in a content-rich structured and supportive environment with instruction guided by the Direct Instruction model and the Core Knowledge Sequence. Affordable housing may be available to qualified Responsibilities: * Create and maintain a well-managed classroom that reflects school-wide expectations and instructional goals* Deliver engaging standards-aligned lessons using Direct Instruction and the Core Knowledge curriculum* Implement behavior management strategies including a 4:1 positive reinforcement model* Monitor student progress daily and submit weekly updates to the Professional Development Coordinator* Provide actionable feedback on curriculum implementation and student outcomes* Participate actively in all staff meetings training sessions and professional development opportunities* Collaborate with colleagues during grade-level meetings IEP meetings and Teacher Assistance Team (TAT) sessions* Implement accommodations for students with special needs and maintain necessary documentation* Prepare and distribute quarterly progress reports and report cards* Conduct four parent-teacher conferences each year (two in the fall two in the spring)* Attend and support school events such as Back to School Night open houses performances and assemblies* Fulfill supervision duties including morning arrival lunch/recess and dismissal coverage* Uphold and enforce all MVRCS policies and procedures* Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Lead Teacher or school leadershipQualifications: * Bachelors degree required* Strong written and verbal communication skills* Ability to use student data to inform and adjust instruction* Knowledge of educational practices policies and legal requirements* Demonstrated success working in a fast-paced collaborative environment* Effective classroom management and organizational abilities* Commitment to completing applicable MTELs within the first year of employment-Mystic Valley Regional Charter School is an equal opportunity employer.
