HireNow Staffing is actively recruiting a seasoned Electrical Supervising Engineer to support one of the nations most critical energy infrastructure facilities in Newport Michigan. This is a high-impact leadership role supporting electrical engineering operations at a nuclear power plant offering long-term career growth stability and the chance to make a real difference in the energy sector.
If youre a licensed engineer with experience in power systems substations and electrical design for regulated industries this is your opportunity to step into a supervisory role that offers both technical and strategic influence.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead electrical engineering teams supporting nuclear plant operations and upgrades
  • Oversee system evaluations electrical calculations and design packages for high-voltage equipment switchgear protective relaying and power distribution
  • Ensure compliance with NRC regulations industry codes (NEC/NESC) and site-specific procedures
  • Manage design reviews QA/QC budgeting and project schedules
  • Collaborate with engineering maintenance safety and regulatory teams
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of technical processes
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in electrical engineering (required)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • 7 years of electrical engineering experience with at least 3 in a supervisory or lead role
  • Nuclear utility or large industrial plant experience strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with IEEE standards NFPA NEC and NESC
  • Excellent leadership technical documentation and team coordination skills
