Job Description
Summary:
Our client is looking for a Director of Sales - Warehousing to join their team! This individual will lead sales initiatives across California focusing on warehousing and logistics solutions. The ideal candidate thrives in a B2B sales environment excels at both managing existing accounts and developing new business and has a proven ability to close deals with freight forwarders 3PLs and distribution-focused companies.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow an assigned book of warehousing and logistics clients
- Drive new business development through targeted outreach and networking
- Build and maintain strong relationships with freight forwarders 3PLs and distribution partners
- Conduct virtual and in-person sales presentations to key decision-makers
- Track and manage sales activity using CRM and virtual selling tools
- Collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions that meet client needs
- Meet or exceed monthly quarterly and annual sales targets
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and competitor offerings
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of B2B sales experience
- Background in logistics warehousing or freight forwarding
- Experience selling to freight forwarders 3PLs or distribution-focused companies
- Comfortable managing a book of business while actively hunting for new opportunities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Confident in presenting to executive-level stakeholders
- Proficient in using CRM systems and virtual selling platforms such as Zoom Teams and LinkedIn
- Self-motivated with a hunter mentality and the ability to work independently
