Job Description

Do you have a passion for aviation Are you interested in helping grow air cargo operations from the ground up Amazon Air is seeking individuals to identify and develop game-changing air transportation solutions for Amazons middle-mile transportation network with the goal of improving our customers experience.

This Senior Supply Chain Manager position will be part of the Fleet Aviation Sourcing & Technical (FAST) group which is an organization responsible for all areas of strategic procurement and aircraft technical operations across the entire Global Amazon Air organization.

The responsibilities include but not limited to supporting the execution of aircraft maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) strategic plans for Amazon Airs global fleet in collaboration with cross-functional leaders including sourcing strategy integration Request for Proposal (RFP) management proposal evaluation supplier selection contract negotiation and contract management in support of aircraft heavy maintenance powerplant heavy maintenance spare asset (engine and auxiliary power unit) procurement or lease and other business requirements. In addition this leader will collaborate closely with technical operations team finance legal air carriers and other teams to integrate sourcing requirement establish and maintain effective healthy performance-driven supplier relationships engage regularly with suppliers to ensure contractual commitments are met and leverage in-depth product and industry knowledge to deliver optimal supply chain solutions and cost-savings for Amazon Air.


Key job responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop multi-year strategic plans that enhance aircraft maintenance capabilities and drive competitive advantages
- Supplier Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain high-performance partnerships with supplier leadership across multiple levels
- Sourcing Excellence: Lead comprehensive maintenance sourcing projects including proposal evaluation and contract negotiations
- Process Innovation: Create robust analytical frameworks for data-driven decision-making and continuous process improvement
- Communication: Develop compelling business cases and communicate complex strategies to senior leadership

A day in the life
Your day will be dynamic and collaborative focusing on solving complex aviation supply chain challenges. Youll engage with technical operations teams negotiate strategic contracts and develop comprehensive sourcing strategies that push the boundaries of traditional air transportation logistics.

- 5 years of program or project management experience
- 5 years of supply chain experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy end to end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership

- Experience in driving process improvements
- Advanced degree in business operations or related field
- Deep understanding of aviation maintenance and procurement ecosystems
- Proven track record of developing innovative supply chain solutions

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $103900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
