The Role
Exciting opportunity to bring your creativity and story ideas to the News team in Queensland.
Broadly the role involves creating high-quality digital and broadcast news content through videography photography and video editing skills. The role will include:
- Operate broadcast and digital equipment (sound video drones editing) in News and Current Affairs.
- Shoot and compose complex field stories collaborating with production teams.
- Set up and pack down production gear; assist talent.
- Edit content creatively and quickly including in the field.
- Capture creative photography and video in the field for a variety of programs
- Manage digital storage with backups and security.
- Contribute editorial ideas and solutions.
- Stay updated on production techniques and technology.
- Maintain field vehicles per safety guidelines and check equipment regularly and report faults.
- Produce diverse stories reflecting Australias communities and engage with communities to find relevant stories.

About You
You havehigh-level knowledge and advanced skillsto film and edit high quality video content as well as excellent photography skills and:
- Qualified with strong skills in camera drone photography and editing for News and Current Affairs.
- Experienced in TV/digital production and adaptable to new technologies.
- Works well under pressure meets deadlines and solves problems creatively in teams.
- Knowledgeable in safety administration and workload management.
- Passionate about telling diverse authentic Australian stories and maintaining community contacts.
- Must be willing to travel and be accommodated in sometimes remote and difficult environments to cover news events.
- A positive attitude and willing to work with journalists to help develop their skills
