In this position you will undertake patrols to ensure both on and off-street parking availability is effectively managed and attend to reactive requests received after traditional business hours to protect and promote positive community safety outcomes. If you:
- Have highly effective interpersonal skills that represent the organisation professionally and positively.
- Have good verbal communication skills including the ability to actively listen display empathy and understanding.
- Have effective conflict management skills exercising sound judgment and initiative.
- Have strong attention to detail and well-developed time management skills.
- Hold a Current C Class Drivers Licence
- Have a passion care and commitment to educating our community.

About the Team
Our Community Safety Team is focused on adopting a proactive and contemporary approach to effectively deliver a broad range of regulatory related activities while ensuring a positive customer experience. Actively engaged within the community the team builds strong relationships with key stakeholders and customers by offering accurate information and guidance to support compliance with legislative requirements.
More About the Job
Adopting a customer centric approach the Community Safety Response Officer role will apply an education encouragement and enforcement approach to ensure Councils legislative responsibilities in regard to effective parking management and responding to reactive prioritised Community Safety requests that require attendance outside of business hours.
This position is offered on a fixed-term part-time basis working over a 14-day roster cycle; up to 21 hours per fortnight until 30 November 2025.
The role is classified at Level 2 with a salary range of $74758 to $81269 per annum (pro-rata) Penalty Rates Super Annual Leave Loading.
To be considered for this role you would need to be available between Monday - Friday 5pm - 9.30pm Saturday 9am - 9.30pm and Sunday 9am - 8.30pm.
A current unprohibited Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (Police check) must be maintained for the duration of the employment period in this prescribed position.
