The Opportunity: Faade Engineer Melbourne
Were looking for a passionate Faade Engineer with 25 years experience to join our growing team and help shape the skyline. In this role youll work alongside our local and national team of faade engineers and consultants to design and deliver high-performance building faades across a range of sector including public education commercial and living. Youll be involved in from concept to construction in everything from material selection structural detailing and sustainability considerations to shop drawing reviews and construction services.

In this role you will:
- Apply engineering principals to faade system design.
- Use knowledge and initiative to implement new approaches to complex engineering/design problems
- Be responsible for preparation of faade design and sketch detailing.
- Execute the designs of faade systems and details.
- The ability to execute and manage drawings/ document control using various related platforms such as Aconex for example.
- Coordinate and liaise with drafters designers and engineers
- Liaise with clients and architects on the preparation and coordination of documentation under the guidance of Senior engineers.
- Competently convey faade designs which can be interpreted by architects and builders.
Skills And Experiences
Who are we looking for:
This role is ideally suited to someone with:
- Bachelors Degree of Engineering Architecture or equivalent
- Minimum 2-5 years relevant experience in a similar role in faade consulting or engineering business.
- Good understanding of BCA and relevant Australian Standards.
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of FEA (such as Strand7) and similar engineering processes.
- Knowledge in faade performance requirements (such as weatherproofing and thermal performance)
- Professional level of written and verbal communication skills.
- Problem solving/analytical skills
- Proactive and collaborative attitude
