Job Description

Columbus School for Girls (CSG) a leading independent school for girls in Columbus Ohio seeks two energetic and detail-oriented Marketing & Communications Associates to join the Strategic Marketing & Communications Department. In this collaborative and creative role each associate will contribute to CSGs mission by helping shape and share the stories of the school community across digital and traditional platforms.


Ideal candidates are enthusiastic storytellers who understand the power of community connection and believe in mission-driven communications. They thrive in fast-paced environments love attending school events and are confident in creating a wide range of content including blog articles designing ads and social graphics video content and newsletter features among others. Through direct engagement with students faculty families and alumnae this position helps deepen the schools visibility relationships and impact while also providing a solid foundation across these areas a willingness to learn and a growth mindset. Key Responsibilities

  • Draft and distribute internal and external communications including newsletters event updates blog posts magazine features and social media content.
  • Capture produce and edit photography and video content to support storytelling and marketing goals.
  • Support coverage of campus events through live posting interviews and follow-up media assets.
  • Collaborate with faculty staff and students to collect and curate content that highlights academic co-curricular and community achievements.
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of branded digital and print materials including signage promotional assets and templates.
  • Help manage content calendars and scheduling across web and social media platforms using CMS and marketing tools.
  • Maintain and organize CSGs digital asset management archives.
  • Track and report engagement metrics to support ongoing content improvement and refinement.
  • Contribute to alumnae and community publications by drafting and submitting content ideas conducting interviews and supporting layout coordination.
  • Serve as an ambassador of CSGs brand values and commitment to equity inclusion and a girl-centered education.
  • Attend evening and weekend events as needed to capture content and engage with the school community.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Strategic Marketing & Communications or Head of School.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in communications journalism marketing media public relations or a related field.
  • 14 years of experience in content creation digital media production or communications work within a team or mission-driven organization.
  • Excellent writing and proofreading skills with a clear understanding of tone audience and visual storytelling.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and scheduling software.
  • Working knowledge of photography videography and graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite preferred: Premiere InDesign Photoshop as well as Canva).
  • Familiarity with web CMS email campaign platforms and analytics dashboards (preferred not required).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a positive proactive and flexible approach.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfort engaging with a variety of school constituencies (students parents faculty alumnae).
  • Commitment to personal growth through professional development opportunities.

Additional Considerations

  • Evening and weekend event attendance required periodically.
  • Candidates should be eager to work across departments and take initiative to tell authentic inclusive and engaging stories.
  • While team members may develop areas of strength or specialization over time all associates are expected to contribute across the full scope of duties as needed.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to sit talk hear stand use hands and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Vision requirements include close and distance vision.
