Job Description

General Summary:

Manages daily operations of multiple stores and attended donation center to meet established revenue and margin objectives. Contributing to the DGR purpose generating funds to help people in our community to live work and thrive through housing employment and supportive services.


Supervisory responsibilities:

  • Proactively partners with talent acquisition to interview hire and train direct reports.
  • Leads the daily workflow of multiple locations
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Champions training and development promoting retention and an internal career path.
  • Utilizes coaching and documentation to strengthen positive performance or address performance issues.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the service product levels and safety of multiple operations within budgeted expense to advance the Goodwill mission and brand.
  • Monitors proper cash controls and asset protection guidelines within multiple operations ensuring employee adherence to policies and procedure.
  • Leads customer service standards to ensure best in class service from all members of the team.
  • Oversees work schedules and staff productivity to reach goals in sales and margin.
  • Determines production set up and material handling to efficiently produce merchandise to generate quality and quantity of product to meet projected sales objectives.
  • Increases donation value by effectively processing products to maximize sales in stores online at the outlet or aftermarkets.
  • Guides store management team to work together cultivating a collaborative team environment through motivation training and coaching.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally in written and verbal form with all internal and external audiences.
  • Ensures a safe work environment audits and trains employees on workplace safety and loss prevention policies and procedures providing solutions for compliance.
  • Analyze sales donation and production data reporting strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Utilizes optimization to maximize sales per square foot increase donor value and sales margin.
  • Implements brand initiative ensuring standardization and adherence to customer and donor experience with product merchandising and service expectations.
  • Assists in preparing retail budgets and routinely analyzes budgeted expense details to revenue ratios.
  • Promptly and courteously addresses customer and donor concerns questions or complaints.
  • Approve purchase orders petty cash and expense reports in accordance with established budget and Goodwill practices.
  • Consistently perform all duties within the framework of our Core Values.
Requirements

Knowledge Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Knowledge of retail operations in a fast-paced environment and ability to provide a high level of customer service.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as good interpersonal skills to interact with employees and the public.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Independently makes decisions that positively impact store goals.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and ability to learn other software.

Travel Required: Up to 10% travel.


Required education and/or work experience:

  • High school diploma post-secondary courses or degree preferred.
  • 6 years of progressively responsible retail management experience.
