Spotless as a subcontractor to Secure Journeys will be responsible for preparing and serving culturally diverse nutritious meals contributing to the overall health and well-being of those in the centres.
With the new contract underway we currently have a full-time role available for a Food Safety and Compliance Manager to join the Spotless team.
This role is dedicated to supporting health and wellbeing by delivering nutritious culturally appropriate and medically tailored meals ensuring compliance with all food safety and health standards.
What youll do
The role has a broad remit with key responsibilities outlined below:
- The ability to manage a national HACCP program with multiple facilities across the country.
- Perform inspections audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in food safety and service quality and ensure adherence to the HACCP program is maintained to meet legislative and company standards.
- Proactively provide and support facilities with food safety training for new and existing staff including inductions toolbox sessions creating content and ongoing professional development to ensure all processes are followed and documented as required.
- Provide advice and support to the leadership team with in-depth hands-on training to develop skills and confidence in the team to effectively manage Food Safety/ HACCP and risk prevention in their respective areas of responsibility.
- Proactively address performance issues by identifying areas of non-conformance their root cause and supporting corrective actions.
What youll bring
- Extensive experience in a food services and catering environment involving QA HACCP and Food Safety.
- Hold relevant certifications in food safety and HACCP.
- Prior experience in working within a team environment.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations compliance procedures and the ability to conduct internal audits and inspections.
- Ability to train mentor and guide staff in food safety practices ensuring compliance and fostering a strong safety culture.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability to engage with internal teams external stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Capability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting strict deadlines.
