Job Description
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design planning delivery and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words were the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers storage networking power and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain and were looking for talented people who want to help.
Youll join a diverse team of software hardware and network engineers supply chain specialists security experts operations managers and other vital roles. Youll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Our teams mission is to help customers manage their network security complexity with ease. Were looking for an experienced engineer to help us build a new greenfield product that radically improves on this mission by leveraging GenAI to help customers meet their security needs. This project is a novel application of AI that goes beyond current industry standards.
As a key developer you will play a crucial role in designing implementing and delivering essential components of our advanced security management system. Youll contribute significantly to the development lifecycle influencing the design development building deployment and support of our AWS service.
Youll join a diverse team of software and security engineers product managers designers and other vital roles. Youll collaborate with people across AWS to help us earn customers trust by delivering the highest standards for operations and security. Key job responsibilities
* Design and implement key features of the security management system using Java
* Collaborate with the development team to deliver global highly available and scalable services.
* Apply security techniques to enhance the systems defenses.
* Work with cross-functional teams to integrate AI technology into the security management process.

- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
