Level 2 Food & Beverage Team Member Apprenticeship at Castle Hall Academy
Were looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Hospitality Team Member Apprentice. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment while working towards a recognised qualification.
Apprenticeship Overview:
- Salary:7.55 an hourAutomatic pay increase after one year on programme for 19 year olds
- Working Week:Monday to Friday - 9am - 3.30pm (30 minute break)
- Hours:30 hours per week
- Duration:15 months

Duties:
- To perform kitchen and cleaning duties in accordance with the Schools Health and Safety policy COSHH regulations and all statutory health and safety requirements.
- To prepare basic food items within agreed cooking methods portion controls and as required. To maintain highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene within the kitchen and the dining area and ensure that cleaning schedule is completed on a daily basis.
- To assist in the production and service of special events as required.
- To serve staff pupils and visitors at service time to the required standard
- To check in and store deliveries in accordance with due diligence procedures.
- To undertake such other work as requested up to or at a level consistent with the principal duties and responsibilities of the role
Essential Qualifications:
- GCSEs in English and Maths at grades 49 (A*C) desirable

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end
The successful candidate will obtain a Level 2 Food & Beverage Team Member Apprenticeship standard qualification.
You will be assigned a designated Vocational Trainer. Alongside the this you will agree on a personal learning and development plan setting a timetable of learning activities in preparation for the End Point Assessment (EPA).
The Vocational Trainer will meet with the apprentice regularly either online or face to face to complete and review assessments provide further coaching where required and agree the next steps of learning.
