The Opportunity:
St Matthews Primary is seeking a passionate and dedicated Temporary Full-Time Primary Teacher to cover a maternity leave period commencing September 2025 and concluding January 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to our schools mission and make a real difference in the lives of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and effective lessons across a range of primary subjects and year levels.
Create and maintain a safe inclusive and positive learning environment for all students.
Implement effective classroom management strategies that foster student engagement and respect.
Adapt teaching methods and differentiate learning to cater to diverse student needs and learning styles.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues parents and the wider school community to support student learning and wellbeing.
Adhere to all school policies procedures and the Catholic ethos of the College.
Participate in school life including staff meetings professional development and extra-curricular activities as required.
About You:
The ideal candidate will possess:
A Tertiary qualification in Education.
A valid Working with Children Check clearance.
NESA Accreditation.
A strong understanding of and commitment to our Catholic faith and the mission of Catholic education.
Demonstrated ability to inspire and engage primary school students.
Excellent communication interpersonal and collaborative skills.
Flexibility and adaptability to contribute effectively to a dynamic school environment.
Current Statements of Service (if applicable).
Important Information:
This position involves working with children. The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment including a valid Working with Children Check and adoption and compliance with CSPDs Child Safeguarding Procedures and Code of Conduct When Working With Students and Children. Classification with Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) is required for employment in any Diocese school.
