Job Description:
VMware by Broadcom is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Architect (Client Services Consultant) to join our Application Networking and Security (ANS) Professional Services team. Key responsibilities
Act as a Subject Matter Expert on VMware Application Networking and Security (ANS) technologies.
Facilitate constructive discussions and negotiations to reach mutually agreeable solutions.
Influence technology decisions related to infrastructure architecture.
Drive adoption of VMware Application Networking and Security (ANS) technology and solutions.
Design and Deploy NSX-T network virtualisation solutions for for VCF and non-VCF environments.
Design and Deploy vDefend DFW micro segmentation and Gateway firewall solutions.
Design and Deploy vDefend ATP - IDS/IPS Malware detection/prevention NTA NDR solutions.
Design and Deploy Avi Load Balancer SLB GSLB WAF and Container Ingress solutions.
Migrate from legacy FW and ADC platforms to VMware.
Integrate VMware platforms with third-party tools and services as required.
Proactively identify and resolve conflicts related to infrastructure architecture.
Conduct thorough architecture reviews of existing and proposed VMware solutions.
Perform Assessments for capacity planning infrastructure optimisations and security compliances.
Establish and enforce architectural standards product recommendations and best practices.
Troubleshoot issues related to NSX vDefend and Avi deployments.
Design Automation frameworks for IaC.
Implement automation for vDefend and Avi Day-0/1/2 workflows to enable self-service capabilities.
Create solution HLD/LLD/SOP documentations as per customer requirements.
Develop and manage Statements of Work (SOWs) ensuring accurate project scope and resource alignment.
Contribute to service improvement initiatives and cross-functional team collaboration.
Provide training and enablement for partners and customers.
Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in the Private Cloud Application Networking and Security space.
Provide thought leadership through presentations publications and participation in customer events.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
Security clearance (NV2 or higher) to work with Federal/Defence customers.
VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification or higher.
12 years of experience in customer-facing positions with at least 5 years of hands on experience on VMware products and technologies.
Proven experience in designing deploying and managing VMware Private Cloud/SDDC solutions.
Strong understanding of Data Center Virtualization Networking (Switching/Routing) Security ADC and Automation technologies and best practices.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong customer service orientation.
Adaptable and progressive learner with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including sales technical and services leadership.
An active listener with excellent and confident communications and people skills with an ability to read complex customer situations and adapt as needed.
Willingness to work from office or client site as per business requirements.

Proven experience in designing deploying and managing -
VMware vSphere
VMware NSX
VMware Avi Load Balancer (SLB GSLB WAF Container Ingress)
VMware vDefend DFW/GFW (Microsegmentation Zero trust)
VMware vDefend ATP (IDS/IPS Malware detection/prevention NTA NDR)
Automation (REST VMware Aria Ansible Terraform)
Preferred technical skills/experience -
Python
Experience with F5 and/or Citrix NetScaler
Kubernetes/Openshift
VCF Private Cloud Platform
VMware vDefend SSP Platform
Public clouds - AWS/Azure/GCP
Linux administration
Working with tools like Grafana/Kibana/Datadog/Prometheus/Splunk etc
IPAM/DNS solutions like Infoblox
