Nutrition and Food Service Supervisor

Join our client as a Nutrition and Food Service Supervisor where youll combine your clinical knowledge with operational leadership to ensure participants receive nourishing meals and compassionate care. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of dietitians and food service staff fostering a culture of collaboration and care
- Oversee the daily operations of on-site meal services ensuring smooth and efficient service
- Ensure compliance with PACE regulatory standards for nutrition and food safety
- Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Monitor participant health markers like weight hydration and overall nutritional status
- Educate participants and caregivers on healthy eating habits and disease-specific nutrition
- Collaborate closely with the kitchen team to review approve and enhance meals
- Coordinate delivery of home meal services and supplements as needed
- Design and implement wellness and nutrition education programs
- Perform quality checks on food presentation safety and satisfaction
- Identify and lead process improvements to enhance efficiency and participant outcomes
- Provide regular training and professional development for nutrition staff
- Document care plans interventions and progress in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Serve as a trusted resource for participants and families ensuring open communication
- Step in to support food service or participant care tasks as needed
- Support the mission by taking on additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Degree in Nutrition Dietetics Food Service Management or a related field
- Supervisory or team leadership experience in a healthcare long-term care or food service setting
- Familiarity with nutrition guidelines and food safety standards especially in senior care
- Strong communication organizational and problem-solving skills
- Comfort working in a multidisciplinary fast-paced environment
- EMR documentation experience preferred
- Bilingual skills are a plus
