Job Description

Leads the AML/CFT Unit in the development implementation and monitoring of the Bank s AML/CFT compliance program including oversight of the AML function for the Bank s subsidiary Prudential Securities Ltd. The role involves coordinating with the head of the compliance department and internal teams conducting customer due diligence analyzing transactions and managing regulatory reporting. Additionally the officer oversees AML/CFT training and ensures compliance with data protection and sanctions regulations.

Skills :

1. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements with a focus on AML/CFT compliance.

2. Conduct regular risk assessments of the inherent ML/TF&PF risks including timely assessments of new products services and business acquisition initiatives to identify potential ML/TF&PF risks and develop appropriate control mechanisms;

3. Assist in developing implementing and monitoring AML/CFT and KYC programs in compliance AML laws regulations and the banks policies.

4. Conduct periodic updates/reviews of AML policies to ensure ongoing compliance.

5. Prepare reports for the board management and the regulator.

6. Assist in developing and implementing the Banks AML/CFT Training program.

7. Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams including Compliance Risk Management branch operations and Legal on information requests or issues.

8. Participate in developing and enhancing anti-fraud and anti-money laundering systems tools to improve detection capabilities and operational efficiency.

9. Analyze transactional data identifying suspicious activities and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

10. Receive and vet suspicious activity reports from the staff;

11. File suspicious Electronic Currency Politically Exposed Persons Cash Transaction Reports and other relevant regulatory reports with the BOG and FIC (where applicable);

12. Assist in developing and implementing the banks sanctions program.
