Job Description

VHIR offers a position for a Lab technician within the Systemic Autoimmune Diseases Group to participate in a project that investigates the differential mechanisms of antiphospholipid antibodies in the progress of thrombotic and obstetric antiphospholipid syndrome.


Education and qualifications:

Required:
  • CFGS (Advanced Vocational Training) FP2 Laboratory Technician or equivalent
  • Bachelors degree in Medicine Biomedicine or a related discipline

Desired:
  • Fluency in Catalan Spanish and English

Experience and knowledge:
Required:
  • Knowledge of Python and R programming languages
  • Knowledge of biostatistics
  • Experience in data management
  • Experience in patient classification

Main responsibilities and duties:
  • Managing data of patients with autoimmune diseases
  • Handling processing and storage of biological samples
  • Performance of laboratory tasks (i.e. sample preparation molecular biology and immunology assays such as Western blotting and ELISA cell culture)

Labour conditions:

  • Part-time position: 30h/week
  • Starting date: immediate
  • Gross annual salary: 15..80000 euros. Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale
  • Contract: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities
