Physician Assistant Surgery Permanent Role - Location: Dallas TX 75246
- Shift: Full-Time Days 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
- Compensation: Based on experience
Essential Functions: - Perform comprehensive or problem-focused physical exams and obtain detailed medical histories.
- Order collect interpret and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic tests to identify patient health issues.
- Prescribe or recommend medications therapies or procedures in accordance with approved protocols with attention to safety efficacy and cost.
- Develop and implement outcomes-based treatment plans based on assessments professional guidelines and collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.
- Counsel patients and families on diagnoses treatment options medications nutrition and health promotion strategies including risks of drug interactions and supplements.
- Maintain detailed records of patient treatment plans and outcomes.
- Initiate referrals and consultations when cases exceed scope of practice.
- Provide consult-level services within the PAs specialty and level of training.
- Manage patients in surgical inpatient emergency or procedural settings beyond the primary clinic.
- Perform invasive procedures within scope of practice and under physician delegation.
- Conduct pre- and post-operative follow-ups hospital rounds and emergency department evaluations as needed.
- Participate in all phases of perioperative patient management including OR assistance.
- Be flexible to cover patient care duties outside standard hours based on department needs.

Requirements: - Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the state of Texas
- Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required within 30 days of hire or transfer)
- Less than 1 year of professional experience.
