Job Description
RN - Emergency Room Contract Role
Location: Altoona PA 16601
Shift: 12 HR Nights 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Duration: 12-weeks contract
Weekly Pay: $1440 $1584
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Triage and prioritize patient care based on acuity
- Perform comprehensive assessments and ongoing monitoring
- Administer medications treatments and interventions per provider orders
- Respond to emergencies and provide advanced life support measures
- Communicate effectively with patients families and the care team
- Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols
- Participate in trauma and code responses as needed.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of one year of recent Emergency Room experience.
Certifications Required:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
License:
- Active PA RN license or expedited PA temporary license accepted.

- Locals accepted - local pay rate will apply for candidates residing within 75 miles.
