Job Description
Surgical Technologist Contract Role
Location: Cambridge MA 02138
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks
Position Highlights:
- Shift: Rotating
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
- Weekly Pay Rate: $2200 - $2320
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the operating room with surgical instruments sterile linens and supplies.
- Assist in surgical procedures by passing instruments and supplies to the surgeon.
- Maintain a sterile field and ensure aseptic technique is followed at all times.
- Monitor and count sponges needles and instruments before during and after procedures.
- Assist in preparing patients for surgery and transporting them to/from the OR.
- Clean and restock the operating room post-procedure.
Requirements:
- Certification: NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) Required
- BLS Certification: American Heart Association Required
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent experience in the Operating Room (OR) Preferred
- Knowledge of instrumentation and sterile technique for a variety of surgical procedures
