Job Description
Local RN/Emergency Room Contract Role
Location: Altoona PA 16601
Shift: 12 HR Nights 7:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Duration: 12-weeks contract
Weekly Pay: $1440 $1584
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per weeks
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with the nursing process and hospital policies
- Perform rapid assessments and interventions for critically ill patients
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments accurately
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and families
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments interventions and outcomes
- Ensure adherence to infection prevention and safety standards
- Respond quickly to changes in patient conditions
Requirements:
- Active PA Registered Nurse License (Expedited PA temporary license accepted).
- Minimum of 1 2 years of Emergency Room RN experience.
- Certifications required:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
- Strong critical thinking and assessment skills.
