Nurse Practitioner Surgery Permanent Role Location: Dallas TX 75246
Shift: Full-time days 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
Compensation: Based on experience
Job Description & Essential Functions: - Conduct comprehensive and problem-focused physical examinations and medical histories
- Order interpret and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic tests
- Prescribe and manage drug therapies and therapeutic treatments
- Formulate implement and evaluate patient treatment plans based on evidence-based practices
- Counsel patients and families on disease management medications nutrition and health promotion
- Maintain detailed records of patient treatment plans and outcomes
- Provide consultation services related to specialty areas.
- Manage patients in various healthcare settings (clinic inpatient ED)
- Perform invasive procedures within scope of practice and under physician delegation
- Follow up with patients pre- and post-operatively; may perform hospital rounds or emergency department consultations
- May work beyond regular hours depending on departmental coverage needs

- Skilled in critical thinking and problem-solving
- Proficient in patient counseling and developing treatment plans
- Competent in interpreting lab and diagnostic tests
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Competence with computers and health-related software
Required Qualifications: - Education: Graduate of an accredited NP program
- Experience: New grads welcome (less than 1 year of experience acceptable)
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Nurse Practitioner license in Texas (or compact state license)
- Texas RN license (or compact state license)
- Board certification as APRN in relevant population focus
- BLS certification within 30 days of hire
